About
Hello I’m Kristin Armstrong and here is my story:
Peaches Greens was started as a lifelong dream of mine in 2022. After many years and many fears I finally decided to bite the bullet and make my dream become a reality with my best friend Peaches.
I have had a passion for plants since an early age. My grandmother, Jane Shust, was the one to blame for this obsession. She would always put flowers on the cemetery when I was little, and I would pray for leftovers. Somehow, she always over calculated (which she was a wiz at math) and had extra flowers for me. It wasn’t until years later that I realized she did it all on purpose. Grandma’s can be sneaky that way.
After many years of gardening in my family's yard I decided that going to school for horticulture was the only option for me. After many bumps in the road and life lessons learned I graduated with an associates degree in Floral design/interior plant scaping, a bachelors in Horticulture and an MBA.
In between all the schooling there have been multiple jobs in many fields to help me learn about working, leadership, life skills and to be honest to make money. The truth is I always wanted something of my own. Something to help people learn about plants and love them as much as I do. So, finally after a push from a friend, many restless nights, and many long drawn out conversations with my husband I started Peaches Greens and the rest is history.
Now, I’m on this journey with you all. You are learning about plants while I’m learning about business. I want to thank you all for joining me on this journey and sharing my passion.
Hello I’m Peaches Armstrong and here is my story:
I was found on Peach Alley in Georgia (Hence the name Peaches). When the shelter found me I was kind of a mess. I was attacked on the streets and running with a pack of dogs. I was nervous and afraid. I was so hungry. Street life is tough. Thank god I'm tougher.
Mom and Dad found me and thought I would be a great fit for the family. So, Mom and my brother Rex drove to North Carolina and picked me up. I got along great with my new brother (who hates all dogs, small dog attitude for sure) and we were on our way home.
Life living in a house was different for me and took time to get settled in. I had to learn a lot, like potty training, walking on a leash, and the fact that I was safe in my new home. Now, I have the best life. I play outside, help mom with her plants, go for walks, sleep in the bed, you know all the stuff dogs like me should be doing. This little Pitty Girl could not be happier and I love to show it by wagging my tail non stop.
I can't wait to see you all and give you lots of hugs, kisses, and of course expert plant help.
